Viewsonic is a GREAT monitor company, go with THIS (http://www.viewsonic.com/products/crt_p95fplus.htm) monitor. My friend has one, its magnificant :p :D

I've got a Viewsonic P225f (22", 20" viewable, perfectly flat with insane refresh rates), i've never had a better monitor. If your willing to spend around $650 for a refurbished one I highley recommend it!

DCDDR on the P4 is not really cheap, I suggest reg. (SINGLE Channel) DDR with a P4 if you were to go that direction..
