Gonna get a AS P4PE/L But should i go Serial ATA or should i just get the IDE and a raid card

Gonna get 2x 100 gig Western D SE

do they now make a adapters cuz i dont see any Serial HDs yet

what would be better in the long run?

Serial drives are just shipping....performance wise, really no difference yet. I'd wait a couple of weeks personally if I were to buy new HD's. Other things to consider beside just performance...such as having brand new gear that won't be outdated as soon as I receive it, having neater cable arrangements, SATA has better error control.

They do, but there's always something "iffy" I've found about adapters that try to merge two different technologies....I've learned to stay away from them. End up with more (for lack of better words)....something of a half breed setup that can have problems.

I prefer built in native support.
