The U10C034 converges IP telephony with data cable service in one convenient device. It features an embedded Lithium-ion battery backup, which minimizes the possibility that a consumer will lose telephone service during power outages.

This device is PacketCable 1.5 and DOCSIS 2.0 certified, interoperable with PacketCable 1.0 and DOCSIS 1.1/1.0. It supports VoIP codecs, such as G.711, G.723, G.726, G.728, G.729.
