The SMC8014W-G Wireless Cable Gateway combines a cable modem, four-port router and 802.11b/g wireless access point. The modem is DOCSIS 1.1/2.0 compliant to ensure interoperability with existing cable systems.

No features at all that are useful....
I think I will go back to my cable modem and Linksys router.
I cannot see who is on the network.I cannot get a log of download and upload usage. I cannot really do ANYTHING useful with this Gateway.
It is as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike.....
If your cable company offers you one of these as opposed to a cable modem and your own router spend the money on a router.
Unless of course you dont want to monitor check or easily configure your home network.

I would have to agree with Zod, this is a second-rate unit. It's got nothing for advanced settings and mine drops connections all the time.
Spend the $75-$100 dollars on a Linksys or Belkin router and just get the modem from your ISP, don't waste your time on this half-$% 2-in-1 deal.

the datasheet link and other links posted on this page no longer work, they re-direct to SMC's main page and searching for this product's information with their search feature brings up results, but all of those links also do not work and re-direct to the main page all over again.
