The EM4620 has an internal battery. When your smartphone runs out of power, you can charge your smartphone with the internal rechargeable power bank of the EM4620. Charge the internal battery of the EM4620 via the micro USB- port at the reader itself.

A function switch at the EM4620 makes sure that the internal battery is used in the right way. You can select which function you want to use: power bank, router and off.
