Edimax AR-7284WnB

details: Wireless 150Mbps ADSL2/2+ Modem Router
hardware type: DSL Wireless Router
date added: 2010-05-17
updated: 2013-01-23
Edimax AR-7284WnB is a wireless ADSL2+ router with one RJ-11 WAN port, four 10/100Base-T LAN ports and a single USB port. It provides WAN throughput of up to 24Mbps.

This modem router compatible with 802.11n, the next generation wireless standard. With the advanced MIMO technology, it provides up to 6 times better data transmission rate (up to 150Mbps) and 3 times better coverage than a standard 802.11g/b router. The AR-7284WnB uses WMM (QoS) to prioritize the traffic over the network. A WPS button allows for easy wireless security configuration.

This router provides VPN pass-through for IPSec and PPTP. It features a built-in firewall to protect the network from intruders and Denial of Service (DoS) attacks.

Used this for 6 months now. Setup is straight froward. I currently have 11.5 Mb connection and it's been reliable throughout. Purchase price approx 25 GBp.
Well worth the money, effective distance indoors of around 35ft.
