D-Link DWR-161

details: 3G/4G Portable Wireless N 150 Router
hardware type: Travel Router
date added: 2012-08-02
updated: 2015-11-08
The DWR-161 is a 3G/4G Portable Wireless N 150 Router with a built-in 1700mAh Li-ion
battery and support for a USB 3G/4G modem or Smart Phone. The incoming connection is then shared via an 802.11n wireless network or via the built-in 10/100 port. The Ethernet LAN/WAN port can be used as a primary or backup Internet connection.

Simply insert a compatible 3G/4G USB adapter or Smart Phone and share your Mobile Internet connection through a secure, high-speed wireless network. A 10/100 Ethernet LAN/ WAN port allows you to attach a DSL/Cable modem as the primary or backup link, while auto-failover ensures an uninterrupted connection by automatically connecting to your 3G network or WAN whenever the primary link is lost.

The router provides firewall security using Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) and hacker attack logging for Denial of Service (DoS) attack protection. SPI inspects the contents of all incoming packet headers before deciding what packets are allowed to pass through. Router access control is provided with packet filtering based on port and source/destination MAC/IP addresses.
