Cradlepoint CTR500

details: 3G/4G Mobile Broadband Travel Router
hardware type: Travel Router
date added: 2009-10-23
updated: 2015-10-25
The CTR500 is a wireless router with one 10/100Base-T port, configurable as either LAN or WAN port, an ExpressCard slot and a single USB port, used for connecting the router to a 3G/4G USB modem. Small enough to fit into your back pocket, the CTR500 can go anywhere with you. An optional external WiFi antenna can be attached for increased signal.

This device supports failover/failback redundancy, in case of primary service interrupted, the CTR500 will automatically discover another connected data network so you're never offline. When your primary service is restored, it will automatically re-connect.

The integrated access point complies with the IEEE 802.11b/g standards, providing WiFi network of up to 150 feet and the ability to connect up to 32 WiFi-enabled devices. It supports WEP and WPA/WPA2 wireless encryption.

The router supports multiple concurrent IPSec, L2TP and PPTP VPN pass-through sessions.
A built-in SPI firewall provides a reliable protection against Denial of Service (DoS) attacks.
