Cisco 887W

details: Wireless ADSL2+ Router
hardware type: DSL Wireless Router
date added: 2010-04-22
updated: 2012-08-21
The Cisco 887W is a wireless ADSL2+ router, providing WAN throughput of up to 24Mbps. It has four 10/100Base-T LAN ports, two of them supporting 802.3af (PoE), one USB 1.1 port for security eToken credentials, booting from USB, and loading configuration.

The integrated access point complies with IEEE 802.11n (draft 2.0), providing wireless transmission speeds of up to 300Mbps. It supports WEP and WPA/WPA2 wireless encryption. The 887W uses WMM (QoS) to prioritize the traffic over the network. It also features WMM-PS (QoS).

This router can be configured via Telnet/CLI, SNMP v.3, or by using the Cisco IOS configuration utility. Another option is out-of-band management with ISDN S/T port or external modem through virtual auxiliary port.
