The Cisco 861W is an 802.11n draft 2.0 wireless broadband router with a single 10/100Base-T WAN port and a four-port 10/100Base-T Ethernet switch, supporting VLAN. An additional console port allows you to connect an external modem for dialup backup.

The integrated access point supports WMM (QoS) and multiple SSIDs. It offers WEP, WPA/WPA2 wireless encryption and 802.1x authentication.

This router has a built-in SPI firewall to protect the network against unauthorized access and supports up to 5 simultaneous VPN tunnels. It can be configured via SNMP v.3 or the Web-based configuration utility.
