Airlive / Ovislink IGR-2500

details: Five-WAN Internet Gateway
hardware type: Multi-WAN Router
date added: 2010-08-26
updated: 2015-01-28
Up to 5 WAN (four 10/100Base-T WAN ports and one 10/100Mbps Ethernet DMZ port, Autosensing, changeable to 5th WAN port) connections are supported with IGR-2500. As a result, the network constructer can easily combine many ADSL or cable connections to increase the total bandwidth.

Generally, the Multi-WAN devices provide only Outbound Load Balance, but AirLive IGR-2500 also features Inbound Load Balance that redistributes access traffic from Internet users to LAN server via different WAN connections-to increase the usable bandwidth and to avoid Internet traffic jam.

The Outbound Load Balance function can increase the useful bandwidth and prevent network bottleneck. With various types of the balance mode (Session, Weighted Round Robin, and Dynamic Traffic) to choose from, the user can manage and expand the useful bandwidth quite easily.

The Inbound Load Balance feature not only redistributes the incoming packets evenly to LAN servers, but also provides auto fail-over functionality to guarantee uninterupted connectivity.
