details: 802.11n Wireless Range Extender
hardware type: Wireless Range Extender
date added: 2012-01-27

P.EX WE50N2 is a High-End multimedia Wi-Fi extender that delivers High Definition Video Streaming from the video source to multiple client adapters. It enables HD IPTV, distribution of multiple simultaneous HD programs to multiple devices, Internet 'over the top' video streaming and wireless HDTV applications.

The P.EX W50N2 leverages on an innovative technology ensuring unique performances: the Wi-Fi 11n signal is enhanced and strengthened thanks to implicit and explicit beamforming, frame aggregation / block acknowledge, real-time channel-aware fast rate adaptation, Space-Time Block Coding, and Maximum Ratio Combining (2x3 MIMO - 20 / 40 MHz channel support).

The device is able to be employed as an Access Point (AP) or Client device 'STA' (Wi-Fi reception), on the basis of a specific out-of-the-box (OOB) software configuration, or specific installed firmware variant. Furthermore it can be packaged in two different options: AP-STA bundle or STA only.

The embedded TR-069 protocol will let ISPs remotely perform activities such as dynamic service provisioning, software management and performance monitoring, thereby significantly reducing the customer support costs.
