3Com WL-546

details: 3Com Wireless 8760 Dual-Radio 11a/b/g PoE Access Point
hardware type: Wireless Access Point
date added: 2010-09-07
updated: 2014-09-15
The WL-546 (3CRWE876075) is a fully-featured dual-radio access point that functions simultaneously with an 802.11b/g and an 802.11a radio. Providing downstream speeds of up to 108 Mbps in turbo mode this access point supports up to 64 wireless users per radio, a total of up to 128 wireless users.

This AP can function as a bridge supporting point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and repeater modes. PoE support overcomes installation problems by eliminating the need for an AC power plug at each AP.

The WL-546 can be converted to a managed AP to work with the 3Com WX 3000
series Unified Controller, the WX 5000 series Wireless controller and the s7900E wireless controller.
