689 tcp,udp nmap A vulnerability in the way Novell NetMail handles NMAP "STOR" commands may cause a buffer overflow that may allow remote execution of arbitrary code. Novell NetMail's implementation of the Network Messaging Application Protocol (NMAP) contains a buffer overflow that may occur when processing parameters supplied to the "STOR" command. An attacker must login to an affected system in order to take advantage of this vulnerability. The vulnerable daemon, nmapd.exe, binds to port 689/tcp.
