Verizon has launched a new prepaid Fios plan that includes access to standalone Internet service as well as bundled offerings of broadband, TV and voice service.

Called Fios Prepaid, the plan doesn't require a credit check, a deposit, an annual contract, or even a credit card to save on file. Customers can pay online with a debit card or use cash at payment kiosks in Verizon Wireless stores.

Fios Prepaid is said to be available anywhere that Verizon Fios service is available. Options include a 25 Mbps Fios prepaid internet offering with WiFi router at $60/month. Custom TV with 155+ channels and one set-top is an additional $40/$50 per month, depending on channel package. Phone goes for an extra $10/month.

"Fios Prepaid offers a new way to experience Fios for customers seeking payment flexibility," said Susan Retta, Vice President of Consumer Marketing at Verizon. "From students to snowbirds, consumers are looking for service and options on their terms. For those with little or no credit history, Fios Prepaid offers 100% fiber-optic quality Internet featuring upload speeds as fast as download speeds, and crystal-clear TV service with no annual contract, deposit or credit check required—it doesn't get any easier to join the Fios family."
