Netflix suffered an outage Sunday night

Netflix users have been complaining on Twitter that services such as online streaming and the ability to order DVDs went down for a few hours Sunday night. Netflix spokesman Steve Swasey said the outage was not due to a malicious cyber attack:

"It was a technical issue that we fixed," Swasey said.

Due to contract dispute between Sony and Starz, Netflix has stopped sreaming Sony movies, released through StarzPlay, as well.

"You may have noticed that Sony movies through StarzPlay are not currently available to watch instantly . . . This is the result of a temporary contract issue between Sony and Starz and, while these two valued partners work through their differences, we hope you are enjoying the wide variety of new movies and TV shows added daily," posted Netflix on its blog referring to breakdown in streaming of Sony movies.
