Mozilla launches Firefox 42 Beta with tracking protection2015-09-25 16:37 by DanielaTags: Mozilla, Firefox
Mozilla has launched a beta version of Firefox 42 which will include tracking protection when surfing the web in private browsing mode. This mode prevents websites from tracking your activities, thus ensuring that your browsing sessions are 100% private. "The experimental Private Browsing enhancements ready for testing today actively block website elements that could be used to record user behaviour across sites. This includes elements like content, analytics, social and other services that might be collecting data without your knowledge," said Mozilla, saying that no other mainstream browser's private mode protects users from website tracking. While Tracking Protection is turned on for private browsing sessions by default in Firefox 42, it is not enabled for normal browsing sessions. If websites don't render properly with Tracking Protection turned on, users can disable it. Another improvement in this version are also audio indicators that let you know which tab is playing sound — and lets you disable sound for that tab simply by clicking the icon. Read more -here-
