Chinese vendor Huawei expects 6G technologies to hit the market by around 2030, the company's rotating chairman, Eric Xu, recently said a Huawei global analyst conference.

"We think 6G will be on the market by around 2030, but we don't really know what 6G is yet. Our industry expects to launch something that will contribute to businesses and consumers by around 2030, just like we have done for 4G and 5G," Xu said.

Xu's announcement is bound to keep Huawei's competitors on their feet, as it indicates progress the company had made even in the height of stiff restrictions by the United States Government and some of its allies. Huawei continues to blaze the trail among its competitors in several aspects of the technology spectrum, including communication, where it remains the undisputed leader in 5G technology.

The speed of 6G is 50 times higher than the speeds that we see on 5G networks, and the delay is only one-tenth of the latter. Needless to say, 6G is way more superior to the 5G network in terms of the peak rate, delay, traffic density, as well as connection density, mobility, spectrum efficiency, and positioning capabilities.

It is also important to understand that a super-speed network is only a branch of 6G. According to experts, a proper 6G network will result in a connected world of terrestrial wireless and satellite communication integration which will result in a seamless global coverage through satellite communication integration.
