When Apple announced last year its HomeKit smart-home platform for iOS 8, it probably didn't suppose that many manufacturers will stick to its technology for home automation and will introduce a plethora of devices, compatible with the HomeKit. Some of those gadgets were shown at the CES 2015 in Las Vegas.

Advanced lock products manufacturer Schlage introduced its new Sense smart lock - a keyless lock that lets owners control and manage up to 30 access codes at once. Designed to work with Apple HomeKit technology, the Schlage Sense system provides consumers with key free convenience. HomeKit technology provides advanced security with end-to-end encryption and authentication between the Schlage Sense lock and an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. HomeKit also lets consumers control their Schlage Sense lock with their voice using Siri.

HomeKit products at CES also included the Stack Lighting Alba, a "responsive lightbulb". It is the only light bulb that can automatically adjust to both occupancy and natural, ambient light. Each Alba bulb includes embedded sensors that form a mesh-network throughout the home. HomeKit support for the lightbulb is not yet available, but the company claims it will become a fact in a future update.

Another announced appliance was the Insteon Hub. It can be used by iOS device owners to control Insteon switches, outlets, thermostats and light bulbs via HomeKit.

The Incipio Direct line of HomeKit compatible accessories include a smart outlet, light bulb adapter, and power strip. Thanks to HomeKit compatibility, these accessories can be easily controlled via iPhone.
