Steven Sinofsky, the leader of one of Microsoft's most lucrative businesses, has unexpectedly left the company. The announcement came barely two weeks after Microsoft unveiled Windows 8 with launch events in New York City in which Sinofsky figured prominently.
Mr. Sinofsky was viewed as one of the most competent managers within Microsoft, and he earned high marks for helping to improve the quality of its software after the company released Windows Vista, a widely criticized version of the operating system. Read more -here-

Microsoft tearing itself apart? You can imagine the poisonous atmosphere at Redmond as the once great company's fortunes decline. The healing balm of Ballmer?
Big as it is, Microsoft lives hand to mouth, so dependent is it on cash flow. There will have to be a legacy outfit to continue product support. Imagine the consequences of no continuation of support: hackers rubbing their hands with glee. |
