And since a single hub is not enough for home automation, the company has also unveiled a few specific Connected Home Hub-friendly products: a Z-Wave Open & Close Sensor (DCH-Z110), a Z-Wave Motion Sensor (DCH-Z120), a Wi-Fi Water Sensor (DCH-S160) and a Wi-Fi Siren (DCH-S220). The Open/Close Sensor DCH-Z110 is a 3-in-1 sensor: Open/Close contact sensor, temperature monitor, LED illuminator. It detects when doors, windows, or other sensitive areas are opened. Users are then alerted with push notifications sent to their phone. The device is based on Z-Wave technology. A built-in 1500mA lithium battery ensures up to 2 years battery life. The price of the device will be $40. The Motion Sensor DCH-Z120 has PIR, temperature and illumination, 3 sensors function in one, based on Z-Wave technology. Built-in 1500mA lithium battery to guarantee 2 years battery life. High resolution sensor detects motion up to 32 ft. The sensor will cost $50. The Wi-Fi Water Sensor DCH-S160 will alert you when a possible leak takes place. It plugs into an outlet and its cable detects water for easy placement around pipes and underwater heaters. Full length of cable detects water for added protection. When a problem is detected, the sensor can be configured, through an accompanying app, to sound an alarm or immediately send your phone an alert. The price of the device is expected to be $60. The DCH-S220 is a Wi-Fi Siren that works with other mydlink-enabled connected home devices. It has six different sounds that can be customized based on trigger. All of these devices are expected to be available in the second quarter of 2015.
