While most of the world has yet to upgrade to Windows 7, Microsoft is gearing up to launch the next version of its PC operating system. Web forums lit up last week with the news that PC manufacturers had just gotten their hands on a new Windows 8 test build. Several analysts reported that equipment makers had received "early beta" test versions of the operating system, after trying out much more rudimentary "alpha" versions earlier in the year. Microsoft declined to confirm anything about Windows 8, but it's customary for the software giant to release its future operating systems in multiple test stages. Way too soon... no need for Windows 8 to be released before 2014 considering how well Win7 is running and the already hinted/leaked reports it's not changing much up from Win7's design.
Reminds me of Japanese car makers in the 80s - redesign the bumpers and lights and out comes a new car model.
