Just a month after it acquired DirectTV, AT&T unveiled its first bundle of mobile and television services that it hopes will draw new customers to the satellite TV service.

"Today is the first of many planned moves to enable our customers to enjoy a premium entertainment experience almost anywhere," said Brad Bentley, chief marketing officer of AT&T Entertainment and Internet Services. "We're going to deliver more TV and entertainment choices to more screens - when and where our customers want it".

DirecTV packages range from $50 to $125 a month, and AT&T is offering a $10 discount when combined with wireless subscription. For example, the company's $160 plan with 10GB of shareable data and four phone lines would run you $200 for the first year if you added the $50 DirecTV Select option. The bundle will launch on August 10.

The offer promises users nationwide the ability to watch their favorite TV shows anytime - on a TV, computer, tablet, or smartphone. Customers can buy DirecTV service in more than 2,000 of AT&T's retail stores, some of which already offer its U-Verse TV service, available in select states where its landline business operates.
