Apple has officially confirmed that its iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus event will take place on September 9th in San Francisco. The event will present not only new iPhones, but also a new Apple TV, and potentially new iPads.

The new iPhones are expected not to be more expensive than their predecessors. The iPhone 6S prices are as follows: 16GB/64GB/128GB ($649/$749/$849). And for the iPhone 6 Plus: 16GB/64GB/128GB ($749/$849/$949). They will probably come with an upgraded processor, called the A9 processor. Along with that processor it is hoped that we will see increased RAM.

The design of the new iPhones is to remain unchanged from a visual perspective when placed side-by-side with last year's iPhones. Apple is believed to be using stronger aluminum, however, to resolve the "bendgate" problems that surfaced with the iPhone 6 Plus last year.

The cameras of the new phones are rumored to boast 12 megapixels (they're 8 megapixels now) and 4K video recording.

The bad news for the new devices come from the chinese website cnBeta. According to it, both the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus will have reduced battery capacities: iPhone 6S – 1715 mAh, iPhone 6S Plus – 2750 mAh (compared with the current devices - iPhone 6 – 1810 mAh, iPhone 6 Plus – 2910 mAh).
