Desorden, a group of hackers, have recently revealed that Acer's systems have been hacked. Over 60 terabytes of data containing sensitive information about millions of Acer customers were stolen by the hackers.

The breach mostly affects customers in India, where the targeted servers reside, and is the second attack Acer has had the misfortune to encounter in the past seven months - a previous incident in March, claimed by the REvil hacker group, involved a record $50 million ransom.

"Upon detection, we immediately initiated our security protocols and conducted a full scan of our systems. We are notifying all potentially affected customers in India," an Acer Corporate Communications spokesperson told BleepingComputer."The incident has been reported to local law enforcement and the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team, and has no material impact to our operations and business continuity."

According to reports, the stolen data includes client, corporate, and financial data and login details belonging to Acer retailers and distributors from India. The attackers also sent a video showing the stolen files, databases, including the records of 10,000 customers among other details being stolen.
