what does mAh mean? longer life?

Ni-MH 6.0 V, 1900 mAh

I was going to post a link to that thread, but the SG search results for "bullsh|t" were too numerous

sometimes you have to think outside the box to get inside the box ;).

sort of,

maneas amount of power,

some cameras and camcroders wont even turn on unelss the abtteries are like 1600 or higher.

Usaully the higher the number longer the life before recharging. I use 1700 on my Olympus digicam

mAh - A rating used in the consumption of power of an electronic device such as an LCD or the storage capability of a device like an NiMH or Nicad rechargeable battery (i.e. 1600mAh cell). It stands for milliAmperehour.

It's the capacity of the battery. Your camera draws so many milliamps of current and the battery will supply that amount for so many hours. The bigger the number, the longer it will run.
