Lately for some reason I have been hearing bad things about IBM HDDs. I dont know why, but I didnt take chances...bought a Maxtor that works wonderful!

more support - IBMs are trash.. very high failure rate.

maxtors are ok, i prefer wd.. i use both.. don't use other brands in ide (personally)...
