Vid card advice........

ok well my voodoo3 has well has died, i know i should of listened to the 4 beeps during post but hey its been doing it for 6 months......well im running at a very good vid of 640x480 and no colors, well a few mostly blues.


heres my question whats a good card I could get tommorrow for under $600.00, should I go with a geforce3 or 4 and what one?

DAMN alot of moneys...

get a GF4 TI 4600

not sure which one is the best...

thanks for the reply... ill read up on them 600.00 might seem like alot but dont forget i jsut got a ton back from taxes, might as well spend on something thats worth it :D

if i were you, i would go get a geforce 4 ti 4400 ( NOT 4600) turns out their the most bang for your buck and can even surpass 4600's if you OC it.. and it cost like i think 100 bucks less.

take the rest of the money and go get something else with it.

you could buy an OK card for $100 and send the other $500 to me :D

Well vegeto I went with the Geforce4 ti4400 128ddr


just got it in and going to go try some games out compared to my voodoo3 it should be night and day, also the card came with dronez

I would've advised you to get a GF4 Ti 4200 and save the cash till better ones come out (since you can't use their power right now anyways), but the Ti 4400 is a SWEET card, and also worth its money.

IMO, there's no way around a GF4 Ti series vid card at the moment.

yeah i was gonna wait but i did with the geforce3 and so on so i figured what the hell i wont need anymore then what this card can do for a few years anyway...hey look i lived with my voodoo3 this long :)

i would have recommended the gainward, but remember that if u do oc ur card it will most likely void ur warrenty.

Order the 9700 (R300) from ATIs main site man, it costs $450 all together and it DOUBLES!! DOUBLES!!! DOUBLES!!! the GeForce Ti 4600. I'm ordering it today!
