i know jay may not like me posting this, but i wanna know what is up with him.

his left testicle has been hurting him for about a year now but recently it has gotten worse. he says it sometimes hurts in the right one too. he said it's not a constant pain and that it comes and goes. the other day he had to pull over on the side of the road cuz it was hurting him so bad. i am really worried about him so what do you guys think about this? remember he is 16 years old... his aunt is supposed to make an appointment with a urologist, but so far no go with her...so i need your guys oppinion about what could be wrong with him.

uh, ok...

When is the last time you two had sex?? Maybe I should ask this question first. Have you had sex?

Is he abstaining from all forms of physical pleasure at the moment?

Perhaps he just needs to "clean the pipes".

we have sex "just about" everyday, sometimes we don't get a chance to so it can be 1 to 4 days in between the times we do, but that doesn't happen to often.....he does use a condom...

now this semester he has a weight training class...he said something about that he thinks maybe thats causing it...

Way too much information there girl!!!!

Take my advice. Make an appointment with his family doctor. From there they will do a physical, blood work or x-rays if required.

yeah his aunt is supposed to do that...his mom and dad says it's nothing to worry about...i'm like whatever...
his aunt is wanting him to see a urologist, but i think he should go to a regular family doctor and let him/her refer him to someone...

That's the steps I would take.

Taking a problem lightly especially when it comes to the human body can lead to other problems if not swiftly taken care of.

Hmm

Take him to a doctor. May it could be something minor like a pulled muscle or ahernia. But just in case, just goto a doctor. :D

If you would stop dragging your ass across the carpet like the dog, you would be just fine.

agreed.

get him to a doctor. it could also be an infection. time for medical attention. and soon, because if so it's possible that he either got it from you, or can give it to you.

have you been a bad little girl?

A neighbor of mine had constant pain in his male DNA generating organs for a while, the doctor told him not to worry, and a long story later the end result is that he just has one instead of the regular two... he's my age now btw (24)...

So he may want to get it checked out soon...

My 2c,
Ronald

One more vote for getting it checked by a doctor/urologist. NOW.

Definetely go to the doctor and get it checked out. It could be many things:

1) Sore from a lot of sex. (I have had it.)
2) Strained from weight lifting. (I have had it.)
3) It could be from other athletic events. (e.g. running with boxers) I played soccer in boxers before and I was sore for days.
4) Infection from anything.

Also, have him do a "self-examination". It wouldn't be unheard of to find something being that young.

Remember, it can happen at any time of life.

Good luck...err...something! :)

Just my 0.02c worth having had them hanging around for 50 years.

Go to the doctors. That's all there is to do and do it soon.

In the meantime if you need to find out about problems like this you can do a URL line search.

This info was from the first site after entering:
"Pain in testicles" (using the " ")

SYMPTOM: Lump on testicle, or pain in testicle
TESTICULAR CANCER

Croc.
From http://www.malehealthcenter.com/sympt.html#anchor88354
Cancer of the testicle is the most common cancer in men from age 18 to 34. Testicular cancer, however, when detected early, is one of the most easily cured types of cancer.

But unless testicular cancer is diagnosed and treated at an early stage, it may spread throughout the lymph node system into the lungs and remaining parts of the body. Testicular cancer can be especially dangerous because there are often no symptoms associated with it.

Testicular cancer starts as a small pea-sized lump within the testicle which may not be noticed unless self-testicular examinations are routinely performed. Finding a lump isn't necessarily reason to panic, however, as not all swellings or lumps in the scrotum are cancer. But it is important to have a physician check out all lumps or hard spots that a man or his partner may detect.

All men should perform monthly self-testicular examinations just as women do monthly self-breast examinations. The optimal time to perform the examination is while taking a warm shower. Both hands should be used to examine each testicle with the thumbs in front and the first two fingers behind the testicle. The testicle should be rolled between the fingers and thumb, feeling for any lumps or bumps.

The testicle normally feels like a hard-boiled egg without the shell. If lumps or bumps are discovered, a physician, preferably a urologist, should be consulted at once. The best chance of prevention is early detection and treatment.

Tremendous advances have been made, not only in diagnosis, but in treatment of testicular cancer. In addition to specific blood tests that are now available to detect testicular cancer, sound waves can visualize the testicle for any abnormalities.

Tell Jay that he has a varicocele.

-- Varicocele is literally a varicose vein -- in this case, in the scrotum. Blood is supplied to and returned from the testes by vessels that run next to the spermatic cord in the scrotum. For reasons that aren't clear, blood flow back from the testes can become obstructed when valves in the veins malfunction. This causes the veins to become stretched, or varicose.

Estimates of how common varicoceles are vary from about 15% to as much as 23% in males 15 to 25 years old. (They don't occur before puberty and are less common later.) About 90% of varicoceles develop in the left scrotum only; 10% also develop on the right. I've never seen one on the right alone, and most experts put the likelihood of this somewhere between very uncommon and none. Sorry, but medical science doesn't have an answer as to why the left side takes the brunt.

Depending on the severity of the varicocele, it may or may not produce any symptoms. When it does, a dull ache and feeling of fullness in the scrotum is most common. A doctor will arrive at a varicocele diagnosis only after ruling out more serious problems.

I developed this same thing back when I was 18 and man did it hurt! The surgery for it is simple...it's called a varicocelectomy. they put you on a table, turn you upside down, drain the blood from the extra vein and tie it off. Stitch your abdomen back up and away you go! Outpatient procedure. :D

BTW, if left untreated, it can lead to infertility as all the extra blood flow down there actually raises the temperature of your nuts thereby cooking your sperm as soon as they are produced. :D
