i am taking a fashion merchandising class. this was recomended by a couple of my friends. one was a guy, and the other one was a girl. i didn't know i was gonna be the only guy. these women are beautiful. i didn't know women this beautiful existed. i was so intemidated though while being in class. they were dressed up all nice, and i was wearing jeans, long sleeve t-shirt, baseball cap, and i haven't shaved for a week. i was skanked out. every time i looked around they were staring at me. i don't know if i should praise God for being around all these awesome women or go crazy. today was such a learning experience.

maybe i'll finally figure out what women really want. :)

as glorious as it may seem to be the only male in an essentially all-female environment, it rarely works out that way. many years ago, i worked for Liz Claiborne. out of 45 or so employees, i was the only man. there was one other guy, but....... you know what i mean (no offense to anybody, BTW). the other guy quit about 4 months into his carreer there.

women can be very cruel and evil (so can men, but in a different way), especially to each other in a stressful scenario. and being the only guy, i saw the brunt of too much frustration. about a year after the store's opening, all the women would start to become more sadistic and underhanded than usual around the same time of the month (i know. it's called the congruency phenomenon). imagine poor me being in the middle of all the ruthless politics going on.

needless to say, i had to abort my carreer there as well before my view of women became too warped.

I agree. Working with women shows you how they really are.

Hey we aren't that bad lol

I have to admit though, over the years I've had a lot of male friends and best friends at that. I find they don't gossip as much, well at least not about the same stuff, I liked that. Worked some jobs where I was the only girl and had great success getting along with all of them.

I just found the easiest way to get to know them was to let them come to me and start talking outside of good morning, how are you stuff like that. It only ever took a couple of days and everything would come together, once they realized I took my job very seriously and didn't just get the job cause I was a girl.

Good luck with the class and making some new friends.
:)

I know it’s an old thread but,

Backstory: My first year of highschool was the first year the Parish went co-ed. They let the seniors finish up at the school they started in. I was mis-scheduled for classes. The school I lived close too was an all girls school.

The very first class I walked into I was the only guy in the class of senior girls. This was girls who were used to boys not being around. A whole bunch of braless wonders, very short shorts. :D

There were no senior guys at all in the school. My dad caught me at a gas station one day. He didn’t say anything but we made eye contact. Later on that evening I got the lecture about skipping out but he said he didn’t blame me. I was the only guy squeezed in a Camero with about five girls. When he went to highschool it was all guys.

Highschool was fun.
