I think warez are good because they give us things that we might never have otherwise. Somethings you can get through warez that you would never be able to obtain otherwise. Yes, it is illegal and wrong, but it can be helpful. Some peopel do it because its a hobby and they like to collect things. Like me. Others do it for their own personal gain. All in all its just who you are how you look at things.

Its also good because most of them time i uninstall the program a few days after i install it. Many programs out there sound good, but when you try it, it sucks. If i bought the program and it sucked, i would be pretty p1ssed. So its like a trail version or whatever. If i like it, then maybe i'll buy it.

Heres an Example
A Friend of mine wanted to try Black and White out to see if it would work on his system.., he wasn't sure if he could meet the System Requirements "Voodoo 2000 Card", so I made him a Copy and and it worked on his system.. 30 minutes later we went to the store and he bought the game.
Just one example of it.. The way I see it , since you cant legally return open software, if it doesn't work on your system or what not "Thought some places will take it back Trust me" Warez is the best way to demo a completley full version piece of software.
Just my though

the trial reason is probably the only solid argument. although alot of apps have free trial versions available.
you could also say, if the person uses them just for a hobby and does not profit from its use then its "ok" but that doesnt really say "warez is good". it doesnt make it right either, keep in mind its still illegal.
if you profit from use of or any monetary gain, then that is wrong. you essentially took something that you did not pay for and made yourself some money. its kind of like paying for a service.
i am the last person that will tell you "do not use warez!", but you should realize that you are in the wrong when you use warez.

another example... but opposite.
my friend always said hey, you gotta go buy black and white, but i never wanted to spend the money. well some guy said he would send it to me. well after i downloaded it from him, i came to one conclusion.. this game sucked. what if i were to buy it for 40 bucks or however much? i woulda been screwed out of 40 bucks. after i tried it, i delete it. so warez are helpful to some extent

sounds to me like you guys are trying to justify warez!
Warez is BAD PERIOD
Most progs have trial versions, where you can try it out for 30 days or whatever....
Understand I do have Warez on my comp, I jusat don't see why you guys are trying to justify it....

Kinda off topic...but how would anyone know if your proggy is warez or not? Is there a way to tell? I mean...yeah fifty people have the same serials but can they realy tell who had the original in that case? could they make a good legal case against it? im just wondering...how they could catch you!

lets assume all those fifty ppls are complete idiots...ok
they registered their copy of Adobe Photoshop or whatever on the web..
THEN most likely the 1st person that sent in the reg info is the original owner..
but I think it's too much trouble anwyways though

The president of Corel stood in front of camera on national television and said " if they are going to steal software then steal our software, if they like it eventually they will buy more of our software and in the end we win."
I thought that was a great and true statement, after using Corel Draw, 7 and 8, both Warez, I purchased Corel Draw 9. He was right...

okay..so you stay away from registering by sending info....WHICH ive been doing...im not completely stupid! Then the serials aren't all tracable or anything? ive been wondering...like if i have a bunch of copies of one WIN2k running in a bunch of houses, then would microsoft know? would they complain? WOULD bill gates not get sleep cause he lost out on 100bucks? i mean...who knows he could need to whipe his arse again or something....

This is why we have the open source movement. Linux is free and so are the apps. No need to resort to warez if you are technically savvy. Just learn Linux. Plenty of great free alternatives to Windows based apps also, you just have to know how to search. But, I must admit, I have plenty of warez proggies also for the same reasons as stated above. I like to try before I buy.

I think free software and demo software is great. I think that inexpensive software is wonderful. But illegal software is really really risky.
A lot of applications today try to contact a server when you install them an even if you have a serial number (or the serial # code is hacked out) they are still logging that you are installing an illegal copy. Until recently, most companies didn't do anything with this info, but rumor has it that is about to change.
If you're downloading (or even worse uploading) illegal software you're taking a big risk! People you are exchanging software with may be more interested in prosecuting you than trading software.

If I steal a corvette, then the original owner can no longer use it. but I can take warez without dissalowing the original owner's use
