Did A bike/hiking trip with my Sister/Brother in law and one of their friends plus 3 dogs.

This valley is in the same mountain range as Jasper Alberta canada. It was a 4 day trip. first day was driving up to jasper from calgary (4 hours). Next day was Biking the first 10km then hiking around the mountain pass to the Fyatt valley 6 km up (400m elevation). Took 8 hours Next day we walked around the Fryatt Lake in the valley. Last day we hiked down 6 km to the lower campsite (pic with the bridge and water going under it) Then biking back the final 10k in a thunder storm.

Issues we had was I had the *****s going up and we where over loaded with too much food. My water blater desentigrated being over 5 years old (had a extra water bottle). One of the dogs went through my sister's friends tent.

First mountain trip!

That look awesome!

regarding the biking... I had friends that did a ride across the USA and one of the first things they realized (about 3 days into the ride) that they were trying to take way too much equipment. They ended up mailing a ton of stuff back home.

The lake and that river look amazing, thanks for sharing.. Sounds like you had a great time, other than that thunderstorm.

it wasn't that bad...It was hot up there (30C + during the day) so the rain on the way back was refreshing and pushed us to get back to the parking lot faster.
