Onscreen HDD led

Does anyone knows how to detect when HDD led is on?

If such an indicator could be placed on screen, that would be helpful for older comps with less ram to check when virtual memory is used. Desktop box might be down on the floor, one wouldn't want to loose monitor from eyeview.

I think also onscreen monitor power indicator would be too much, but there were times i needed hdd indicator...

I'd be cautious of which to install, probably the only from above list I'd use is the one from SoftPedia,.

Virtual memory is always used..it's not a problem. Old computers, can assume the hard drive is old...and due to wear and tear over the years has lost most of its performance. So it's gotten very slow. One of the headaches of using old computers.

Such a power for advanced user, but ordinary users are "doomed" to windows. Great tools in windows there, but imho their domination insult linux (group of enthusiastic programmers) power and potential...
