Core i7 , Sandy Bridge etc. Looks to be pretty good price (being that it's pretty new) and somewhat futureproof.

i7 or i7 2600K. The i7 extreme is a waste of cash.

Are most applications compatible with the 64-bit OS? I'm looking at going with 6 gigs of memory.

What will you be doing with it?
I'd love to say get the biggest and baddest and latest processor out there....
But depending on your budget, and what you're going to do with it...heck an i5 can me more than enough for you.

Christ, made this thread over a month ago and have yet to do anything.

The "shop" that I was going to buy from does not seem to want to get back to me. So it looks like I am going to build my own.
