Ask him to create a reservation for your box that will be the CS server...and give him the ports necessary to make your server public..so that he can open/forward those ports to the static LAN IP that he gave you.

no man actually the person who manages the network is a JACK*** he doesnt know a thing about networking ..he only know the basic of managing the network. i told him to forward my port ...he was like i was talking something out of the world . he said all your ports are open so u can play games.
what is your problem
ok tell me have u been provided with a live ip or a transparent proxy ip.
if live ip then its no problem but if a proxy address then i dont know..

I don't know much about that. How do you check either of the options: Live IP or Proxy one?
I do know that i have a dynamic IP(given to my modem/router), cause it keeps changing every time i restart my pc. I have given my pc a static IP though.
I would like to about the proxy ip.?
thanks

mostly IP's provided by an ISP are dynamic which means they keep changing but ip given by a router to a computer stays the same and mostly starts with 192.168.x.x. if u have a direct link with the isp and then its very easy . you might also want to check if your p2p is on because if it is not bit comet is useless for torrents. btw if u have p2p on then simply you can forward your port from the router settings to the dynamic ip address which makes a hell lot of a diffrence . it greatly increases your speed
