Cisco 2610 Help

Post by nagetech »

Howdy everyone! I have come into 2 2610 Routers! I am highly interested in learning these bad boys! But first I need some guidance!

First off, each one only has one ethernet port, and was told by some that it would NOT support Fast Ethernet Cards, while others said it could. Could I please have some feedback from members here about heir own personal experience?

Also, I would like to eventually implement these routers in my own home network. I am using Optimum Boost (30mbps/5Mbps) Will this router be able to support the band width provided from cablevision? If not, what cisco router would support it? Thanks in advance!

The 2610 supports 10baset on one side, 12 - dialupmodems on the other. Not sure what application it would have in the modern world?
