i only have an fan blowing out of my case...

i think i need one more for cooling... but there seems to be no room.. si i think i have to put it on the side of the case...

whats the best tool to make the holes with? any drill(s) with the right size.... and i cant seem to find where to plug into the power.... i think there is only one more unless it uses those big 4 prongs.....

either a Dremel tool with a cutoff wheel (to cut out the majority of the hole) and a sanding drum (for finishing the shape of the hole) or a drill with circle-cutter of the appropriate diameter for your fan or fan grille (if you will be using a fan grille, make the hole to fit it rather than the fan itself).

you can either get a fan with a female Molex connector (the kind of fan header on your mobo) with 2 or 3 wires to the fan, or a large 4-pin connector (like what you plug into your CD-ROM or HDD. the 3rd wire on some fans is for RPM data to be sent to your mobo/BIOS. its not really necessary unless you like to see how fast your fan is running at or if your system has some sort of fan speed/thermal protection. the large connectors straight from your power supply can be used as well..... i personally prefer those over the headers on your mobo to lessen the load on your mobo, but with only 2 case fans drawing on your mobo i think you'll be fine.

heh... a regular Dremel goes for about $60 US give or take about 10 bucks depending on where you live and how much the price has changed in the last few years. may be a bit more or a bit less.

if you want, you could just drill a hole small enough to get a keyhole saw blade into and then cut it out that way. or maybe a jigsaw.

well I bought a 4" hole saw and it put a nice clean hole in the side cover.of course it was off the case at the time.
