I heard that I could get cable tv through an internet cable line I tried hooking directly to it and I mostly got a bunch of snow. So I opened my cable box thinking there was another line in there for a tv hookup. I hooked up directly to the cable line there and I got channels but they were all fuzzy except a couple.
Why and can this be fixed.

You can. The only reason there may be snow on the line is that there is an internet trap somwhere on your line. Either at the tap, or in your R/E box. Most internet frequencies cable companies use are in the high band usually above 500mhz, most analouge channels are below this, but if a company tech did your install, there is probably a trap somewhere.. If your an internet only customer, there is a good chance your trapped at the tap.
Is your system Aerial or underground?

it comes from the power line to the house down to the box. The line that comes in has a really big conector at the end of it. It might be possible for them to put a trap on the power line. But wouldnt they want to make it easy to hookup cable so they don't have to crawl up the pole to change it. I can take a picture of it if it is easier for you to notice.
