sorry I helped.
Yes it will work...I had the same processor. Another option would to sell it on ebay, they go for $200 all day long being the fastest 533 proc and is the only one that supports HT.Tailgunner9 wrote:Guess nobody can answer this question. Would like to save my old P4 3.06 H/T by putting it on another motherboard if possible that it would work on.
no crap??KINGoFOOLS wrote:Yes it will work...I had the same processor. Another option would to sell it on ebay, they go for $200 all day long being the fastest 533 proc and is the only one that supports HT.
I think the reason most people upgraded to the 800fsb was for the h/t'ing.Tailgunner9 wrote:Thanks Kingofools for a straight answer to question. Got another board and have the P4 3.06 H/T up and running. $80 board is a lot cheaper than buying another board, CPU and new memory for that board. I am back running for $80 and my time to switch it out. And you do not notice $700 worth of difference in it and a board and CPU with 800FSB if you will notice any at all.
