need help!

what do i need to know before i get a new video card and a more powerful power supply? i have a 2.6ghz athlon processor, 120 gig hard drive, 512 MB memory.... i am wanting to get a vcard at least that is 256MB. thanks

post your motherboard, CPU,what games you want to play, and at what resolution you want to play them at.

If I had to think without what info mark just asked for.. I'd suggest first off upgrading to some more ram.. that will help at least a gig. Also how much ya willing to spend on both is a big question.
