interestingly, St. Anger has grown on me...though it doesn't compare to their early stuff, it is still good in its own way.

I agree.

There newer stuff, when not compared against the older stuff holds its own as well. I hated Black album, Load and Re-Load for years. I've finally given Load several serious listens and I have to say that its a pretty good record. It's not anything like their odler stuff, its not speed-thrashy Metallica that were all used to, its very different, and there are some really great songs there, like Mama Said, Poor twisted me, Wasting my Hate, Outlaw Torn, etc.

Metallica sucks, peroid. Some of their guitar diddles are ok though, but ughh they scream white trizzash.

Nah, they didnt. Lotta stuff I like was going on the sametime they were. I just hate the super long hair/tight jeans/cowboy boot/etc. Their stance on file sharing really makes them suck as well.

yeah goitta say i just didn't like the extra drum tracks that Lars got so excited about vocals ruled guitars ruled newsted was... meh. saw and justice for all tour live in calgary vocals sucked ass. Overall its great songs but not a great album.. but then i had been acustomed to "puppets", "ride", and killem and the live show in vancouver (damage inc tour). nothing ever came close to those albums/ performances and yeah Cliff would have wanted it this way.
all the napster bull**** and lars faggetry waned the my thoughts of what they were into what they have become. IMO Cliff wouldn't have wanted it this way.
"tuck you in? hush lil baby", holding your pillow tight? wtf is that crap britney spears writing about her first cycle? oh yeah one more thing on enter sandman at some point hetfeilds vocals eats a can of spinach and turns into popeye the sailor.
