It's pretty much dead on. I was tracking a flight from Detriot to Champaign and the site told me it was at about 3000ft, 220kts and eta was a couple of minutes. I step outside and it's passing over my place. Not too shabby.

That's what I was thinking too. Next you will be able to get the passenger lists.

I would say that Flight tracking would be more damaging then knowing who was on a flight, and they guard that info carefully.
