Is this Regina or Saskatoon?

I wouldn't think either place would be a scuba diving hotspot. You've got algae infested Wascana or the North Saskatchewan River.

Guess you could drive to Regina Beach, a place I've tried to go to 3 times in my life but the water was too choppy to water ski every time.

Taking pictures of lightning is kind of interesting in that you have to take the picture before the lightning strike. Generally you use specialized equipment.

They were taken in Saskatoon, from the angle I am gessing off of the University bridge.
I have never dove Regina beach, we usualy hit Lake Deifenbaker & the hydro staion at Coteau creek being that they are only about an hours drive away. Blackstrap lake is way too green this time of year.

Cool. I've been to Regina 30+ times in my life and Saskatoon once when I was about 7 years old. I'll be in Regina next week where I'm sure the Wascana swamp will be as green and slimey as ever.

You don't need "specialized equipment" or a good "trigger finger" to get pics like that, you just need a camera with a bulb setting and lots of film. Anyone can do it.

That is not to take away from the quality of your friend's photos, they're quite good. I love lightning pics. :)
