i juz installed this acrobat reader alternative :)

Foxit PDF Reader Free!
A free reader/viewer/printer for PDF documents. Unlike Adobe® Reader, this one has size less than 1M, needs no installation and opens up immediately.

cool i'll have to check it out. i use adobe reader 5.0 since it's alot faster and smaller size then version 6 and 7...

I used it for a while but it didn't render some things properly, some of the test was ragged, bar codes didn't show up, etc. I'm not sure if it was just unimplemented at the time...but I had to switch back. It is definitely faster though.

the problem showed only for insurance statements. it was probably b/c they were made w/ some newer features or something. mebe the beta has them implemented.

I couldn't get it to open a PDF the other day when clicking on a link.

yea u need to set windows to use it as ur default pdf proggie

Yeah that's what I figured. I wasn't in the mood to do it right then and there :rotfl:

So I went back to adobe reader 7 :rolleyes:

Ya and its so difficult too! I mean you have to go through 2 clicks in the program! lol

Oh my GOD.

This thing is 100000000000000000000000000000000000000% faster than Adobloate.

I can finally scroll through IRS PDF docs like the wind.

Talk about a conspiracy.

I uninstalled Acrobat, deleted its folder, and when I try to manually associate Foxreader with PDF files, it randomly assigns a totally different program instead.

EDIT: When I change to the Foxit exectuable, Windows refuses to recognize it and assigns the next one in the program list. WTF.

EDIT 2: I was just trying it manually for the hell of it, the option to set it as default works like a charm. ****ing Windows.
