Server performance...bandwidth....again

IM'd with Rich this morning....he got assigned his address space today (Friday 11th) from SBC, so he should be moving stuff this weekend, including Franklins.Net servers. So by Monday, we should have our breathing room back again, bandwidth wise.
Lets hope so, it's been a long downtime eh?

oh and the server was great tnite lotsa peep sgrs took down a clan on tobruk and they ran off like cry baby pee pee pants

DAMN!! I missed the fun on the take down of a clan
I would have loved to been a part of that.. freakin workin on a weekend sucks!

Some of Franklins.Net servers were being moved yesterday, they're going to another location in the state. So it's begun, but when his big bandwidth server is being moved.....as soon as they get the time to do it. I was hoping by today...

I was good last night (40ms) but for some strange reason....when I have really low pings....it becomes hard to shoot people with high pings or spikes. Netcode of the BF series has been shaky at best. Sometimes I have to really lead people to get a hit indicator on them. You would tend to think that with a low ping you'd have the edge but I think the BF series compensates for those with high pings to keep it fair. I know this to be true because why else would they offer an option for 56K folks?????
When I played on the |D| server for matches...I was always low ping and getting killed often. If we played on another server...I could rip it up. Strange goofy crap.

yeah its bad > ping spikes 400 - 700, average 130ish.
I am gonna have to play in other servers until this stuff is fixed
I'm always have xfire on eh!
