Not sure how many Bell Sympatico users visit this forum- but for those who do, I assume you are all aware of this?:

Now my question is this. I currently have a Nortel Networks modem. Supposedely it's suppose to be a 1meg modem. Now, will I see any improvements in speed while using this modem?

Does the modem have any affect on limiting speed even if the ISP increases the bandwith from the orginal caps of 960/120 to 3mbps/800???

If so, I would like to know so I can chuck this cheese ass modem and request a new one from Bell.

Anyone have a clue??
