What is the difference between sygate pro and the free one?

If i leave my wireless linksys firewall on will it make things slower?, should i leave it on?

If i ever get scaned or w/e and it alerts me..what can i do? does it stop it right away? IS there a way to report it...? sorry for the nubbie questions..thanx

Well anyway i got pro now but... here the thing, today while i left my computer on i saw t hat i had a log that someone was trying to attack my computer... i backtraced this ( i didnt know wha ti was doing) and this is what came up...what is this?

there was differnt security types like
port scan, active response.
