HTML 5 support will be nice, but I'd really like to see full hardware acceleration support with it, which was suppose to be in the 4.0 beta but isn't going to be anymore.

I found a way to fix it so you can still use most if not all of your add-on's for 4 so far.
In the address bar type: about:config
accept that you wont kill anything
right click the screen and choose NEW > boolean
enter this as the name
extensions.checkCompatibility.4.0b
and set it to false
do the same with this
extensions.checkUpdateSecurity
and set it to false too
restart the browser and the addons will work

Yeah I noticed the new auto update pop up last night but I was too busy to let it restart FF. That's something new cause now it seems to change "check for updates" with a auto update feature which is something I may need to look into as I don't really like software auto updating on me.
Edit.. nvm seems the last one changed the update to auto update for some reason cause it's never done that before. hmm

Running 4.0b1 on Debian, runs well. Scrolling on flash pages is dogged, but all else is well.
Tried 4.0b3 and it is unstable, rolled back to b1.
The neat thing about a FF linux install is one need only copy the extracted download to the /opt dir, copy the old plugins dir and yoiur done.

Hi Sava,
Today the flash plug crashed two times for me. It is the first time though I have been using FF 3.6.8 version since it came out.
DO you have Betterprivacy add on?

This Beta 6 version is just a small cut... 7 is just around the corner and was really 6 to begin with.

I'm not enjoying the latest 2 versions....memory consumption running away on them. I usually have several tabs open, but she'll average a gig and a half of RAM use. AdBlockPlus and Personas are my only add-on. All other plugins updated. Not so much worried about the RAM consumption...I gots 4 gigs in my system, but every minute or so while typing away, I'll get a period of lag/hang for about 5-6 seconds...it starts to get like doing PcAnywhere remote over dial up.
Dunno..may be jumping ship to Chrome unless this settles down. I notice it on 2x different rigs too, and so does the wife on her laptop. All within the past 2 weeks or so.

I had this problem about 2 versions back, its since gone away but mostly showed up when i was leaving FF open for extended periods of time. I thought it was from a ad-on to start with but never could narrow it down till I just started closing FF when not using it.
