This, ladies and gents, is how NOT to install a video card. This do-it-her-self-er wasn't so handy after all. She wondered why her computer wouldn't turn on and so she brought it to me at work for a diagnostic. I opened the computer a few minutes later and couldn't help but laugh--and ask my general manager to take a picture of the machine..so here it is..enjoy ;)

:D and no, this is no joke, docsta was there and saw it "live and uncut"

Must be one of those new "Air cards".

shant,
david
I want to learn more and more to see as beautiful what is necessary in things; then I shall be one of those who make things beautiful. Amor fati: let that be my love henceforth! I do not want to wage war against what is ugly. I do not want to accuse; I do not even want to accuse those who accuse. Looking away shall be my only negation. And all in all and on the whole: some day I wish to be only a Yes-sayer.

lol... i have come close to doing that (too dark inside the case to see. couldn't find a flashlight.... thought i'd give the braille method a whirl). of course if i had made it so far as to try and boot the system, i would like to think i would have guesses that it was because of the last thing i did (and investigated).

hard to imagine, though. there is quite a distinctive feel to seating a card. looks like she just set in in there and screwed it in. too funny.

ya i'd never pick amro and docsta to be freinds in reality. Amro is polite and conducts himself nicely on here, where as docsta treats this like a game and is the resident ass hole / instagator / insult poster.

Ain't they nasty? Gotta take some outside they're so bad, to blow them out. Else the entire countertop and shelves get covered with a blanket of dust 'n dirt when you blow them out.

Then you get the filthy feeling on your, hands all dry feeling cuz of the powdered dust. Gets on the slacks, shirt 'n tie. YUCK!

It's like I want to run it through a carwash with the cover off!.

Must be of those new 'wireless" cards everyone's talking about!!

Hey, they put that white plastic thingy on the 'big, flat electric board' right in the way. I had to get around it somehow. Are you sayin', "I shoulda gone on a downward angle and gone under it?" :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
