How to combine two or more ethernet adapters together for same connection, in order to increase network throughput?

What your attempting to accomplish is known as load balancing. You can use a hardware solution like a Nexland or Cisco router or use a software solution like Midpoint. Keep in mind that this is not going to combine 2 connections into one big pipe, only allow load balancing between them.

For broadband, what CM Weaver stated is correct. You can also load balance NIC's to special switches for higher throughput under concurrent loads on LANs. Compaq, Dell, etc, make some higher end server class NICs that utilize special bonding protocols, working in team with high end switches such as Cisco Catalysts. We tried this at a big LAN party years ago with some special NICs I got from work. Ended up kicking it up even higher with fiber giga-NIC's to the Cisco switches.
